FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: first, to define parameters of gyro temperature drift mathematical model gyro is started at initial temperature of its resonator equal to ambient temperature. Drift rate and gyro resonator frequency are measured at different angular positions of gyro resonator elastic wave relative to casing in the range of angles of minus 90° to plus 90°. Said measurements are reiterated unless practical stabilisation of resonator frequency while, in gyro operating mode, resonator current frequency is measured to compute algorithmic compensation for wave solid state gyro temperature drift rate using mathematical model of said drift its parameters being defined proceeding from the results of measurements made in preliminary calibration starting.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of compensation.
