FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring patient's weight, kg, a maximum daily dose of a drug (mg) and the concentration of a preparation indicated on a bottle (mg/ml or %) to calculate an amount of allergen that should be used to determine the patient's sensitisation to this substance in laboratory study by formula: the amount of allergen, ml per patient's whole blood 1 ml is equal to the maximum daily dose of allergen (mg) divided by a product of the following parameters: numerical constant 50, varied coefficient k, patient's body weight (kg), the preparation concentration in the bottle (mg/ml) or if the preparation concentration is expressed as a percentage, the equation is used: the amount of allergen, ml per patient's whole blood 1 ml is equal to the maximum daily dose of allergen (mg) divided by a product of the following parameters: numerical constant 500, varied coefficient k, patient's body weight (kg), the preparation concentration in the bottle (%), and the varied coefficient is equal to 1.3 for women and 1.5 for men.

EFFECT: method provides improved diagnostic accuracy, simplifies the method, enables patient's sex and weight to be taken into account.
