FIELD: security systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of burglar alarm, in particular to methods for threshold detection of an intruder used in detection means and systems using various physical principles of operation. Measure the parameters of the intruder signal and the interference, calculate the probability of detection and operating time for a false alarm corresponding to the set threshold, and display them to the operator, setting the threshold to achieve the required ratio of the probability of detection and operating time to a false alarm. In the variants of the method, fixation of the running time for false alarm or probability of detection and adaptive change of the threshold are used when the level of interference is changed. Calculations are performed under the assumption of a normal distribution of interference.
EFFECT: increase informativity and optimize the ratio between the probability of detecting an intruder and the average time to false alarm by manual or adaptive threshold setting.
