FIELD: safety systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to burglar alarm systems, particularly to radio engineering methods of detecting an intruder using ultra-wideband signals. Technical result is achieved by that when receiving a pulsed ultra-wideband signal, constant component of detected signal is identified, corresponding to presence and level of external narrowband noise, exceeding of a threshold value by which bandwidth of receiving channel is adjusted in frequency domain, where there is no noise. In other versions of method, used for detecting an intruder of several frequency channels, in each channel is identified a constant component of detected signal corresponding to presence and level of external narrowband noise, and exceeding of threshold value by which channel, subjected to noise, is excluded from operation.

EFFECT: higher resistance to effect of narrow-band electromagnetic interference, including in working frequency band, and ensuring operability of method of detecting an intruder under said interference.
