SUBSTANCE: method for electrical beam swinging in an ultra-wideband phased antenna array, the radiating aperture of which is made of flat horn flares, linear dimensions of which are more than wave length and are arranged in several levels, provides for beam swinging in a wide angle (sector), carried out by means of changing the ratio of amplitudes of propagating modes.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of a phased antenna array due to an expanded sector of view and preservation of energy characteristics under considerable reduction of element quantity in its structure.
