FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, in particular to surgical devices, which use super high frequencies, and is intended for stopping bleeding from vast bleeding surfaces in carrying out open operations on parenchymal organs such as liver, kidney, as well as from wound surfaces of muscular tissue in orthopedic and general surgical operations. Device for thermocoagulation contains source of super high frequency irradiation, connected with flexible coaxial cable with electrode, placed into metal case. Electrode is made in form of single-arm Archimedean spiral, two quarter-wavelength cups are installed coaxially to electrode.
EFFECT: application of the invention will make it possible to increase efficiency of coagulation in case of bleeding due to uniform impact of electric field on biological tissue, achieved due to electrode construction, eliminate undesirable for medical personnel, working with the device, and patient SHF irradiation.
