FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: high-temperature plant for heat treatment of solid medical waste, which uses an oxidised air as an oxidiser, consists of an oven representing a once-through cylindrical combustion chamber, a screw supply system of solid waste with a cutter at the outlet, cone-shaped crushing shafts and a cooling jacket, waste drying zone, atomisers for oxidised air, a heat exchanger having the possibility of heating the oxidised air to the temperature of 500-600°C and a wet scrubber located at the cooling system outlet. The combustion chamber is heat insulated; a gas generation chamber is installed into the combustion chamber; the drying zone is located between the screw supply system and the combustion chamber and made in the form of a cylindrical shell with coaxially located cylindrical and conical perforated inserts installed into it; the drying zone and the gas generation chamber are isolated from each other with a lock feeder; combustion gas is supplied from the combustion chamber to the drying zone in series through a recuperative heat exchanger, a steam generator and a flow control; waste drying agent is removed from the drying zone and supplied to the combustion chamber through the conical insert and a condenser; oxidised air supply atomisers are located in the lower part of the gas generation chamber with possibility of controlling the bed combustion height in the lower part of the combustion chamber as well.
EFFECT: improving efficiency of heat treatment process of solid medical waste due to pre-drying of waste and arrangement of combustion gas recirculation, adjustment of the height of supplied oxidised air in the oxidising zone of the gas generation chamber, conductive transfer of heat from the generator gas combustion zone to the gas generation zone.
