METHOD FOR EVALUATING RISK OF EXACERBATIONS OF HELICOBACTERIOSIS Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC G01N33/554

Abstract RU 2481584 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: multiple (4-6 times) saliva and faeces samples are taken in critical months (February to March, September to October). The heated samples (100°C, 20 min) are tested for Helicobacter pylori O-antigen, while the non-heated samples are tested for VacA-antigen by coagglutination reaction on a slide and trays, respectively. It is followed by determining a frequency of these antigens, and a high O-antigen frequency (≥50%) and a low VacA-antigen frequency (≤40%) enable to consider a risk of exacerbations (dyspepsia, gastritis, peptic ulcer) to be probable, and the value of VacA-antigen ≤25% shows a high risk of an exacerbation.

EFFECT: invention enables optimising a diagnosis and ensuring timely prevention of exacerbations of helicobacteriosis, evaluating the effectiveness of an eradication therapy.
