METHOD TO INSTALL FLEXIBLE ELEMENT BY MEANS OF HELICOPTER Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC H02G1/02

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: prior to installation an auxiliary rope is rolled by a helicopter and fixed on supports, and the rope is then used as a supporting facility when rolling a flexible element. The stock of the flexible element is installed on the drum of the traction mechanism in front of the first support, and the end of the flexible element is attached to the weight fixed on the outer suspension of the helicopter. After installation of the flexible element by the helicopter into the cross beam of the first support a roller is installed onto the auxiliary rope behind the cross beam with the possibility of rocking, and the roller is fixed on the flexible element. When the helicopter travels through some of the span, an additional roller is installed onto the auxiliary rope with fixation on the flexible element, and rolling is continued. Whenever the roller reaches the next support, it is removed. After installation of the flexible element onto the cross beam of the subsequent support and lowering of the weight by the helicopter, the end of the flexible element is attached to the second traction mechanism installed downstream the subsequent support. The flexible element is disconnected from the weight, and the roller is dismantled. Then the flexible element is tightened with traction mechanisms. Number of additional rollers is selected based on the condition of auxiliary rope strength. Additional rollers are dismantled as they approach to the next support.

EFFECT: reduced loads at a helicopter and reduces costs for installation works.
