FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely neurology, neurosurgery, physiotherapy. The method involves the drug-dosed administration of a therapeutic mixture of clonidine and morphine into the epidural space and electrostimulation of the spinal cord by pulsed electric current. For this purpose, electrodes are inserted into the epidural space above and below the lumbar enlargement. It is combined with percutaneous electrostimulation of the neuromuscular apparatus of the lower extremities. For this purpose, electrodes are applied in number of one for each region: a projection of the tibial nerve in the popliteal fossa, in a projection of the fibular nerve at the level of the fibular head, within the ankle posteriorly the medial malleolus, on an anterior surface of the lower one-third of the shin at a foot flexura between the tendons of the extensor digitorum longus and the extensor pollicis longus. The sessions of spinal electrostimulation and percutaneous electrostimulation of the neuromuscular apparatus of the lower extremities' are alternated, starting with spinal electrostimulation, in total no more than 4-5 times a day.
EFFECT: method provides reduction of spastic and spastic-pain syndrome due to the exposure to all the pathogenic mechanisms forming them.
