FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, neurology, restorative medicine and rehabilitation and can be used for diagnosis and selection of method for correction of spastic syndrome in children with consequences of spinal cord injury. Severity of the pathological tone is assessed using the Ashworth and Tardieu Scales according to a five-point system. Pendulum test is then carried out to determine the rate of disappearance of oscillations. That is followed by electroneuromyography to assess the f-wave. After evaluating the spastic syndrome, a method for its correction is chosen.
EFFECT: method enables objective assessment of the severity of spastic syndrome and adequate treatment of spastic syndrome to reduce its severity, improves sensitivity and function of pelvic organs, also improves rehabilitation prognosis and standard of living of such patients.
