FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining metals and may be used for boring cylindrical holes at lathes. Proposed method comprises revolving the part about cylindrical hole axis and cutting it by tool displacing inside, along aforesaid axis, and revolving about axis crossing that of cylindrical hole at acute angle. Used cutting tool has, at last, forum cutting edges arranged regularly in circle in one plane perpendicular to cutting tool rotational axis. Magnitude of aforesaid intersection angle is defined from the relationship: where d is hole diameter, mm; ρ is layer of allowance, mm.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, decreased tool wear.
