FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: flat serrate sealing gasket has two-sided straps for sealing of detachable flange connections. Strap has two sealing contact surfaces, in which concentric V-shaped slots with aperture angle of 90° are made. On both sealing contact surfaces of the serrate sealing gasket between slots there formed are concentric surfaces of constant width of 0.2 to 0.6 mm, and the bottom of cavities of concentric slots has a rounding with radius of 0.3 to 0.5 mm. Concentric slots in sealing contact surfaces of the serrate gasket have the volume that is smaller than that of the sealing film or the sealing plate that overlaps tops of extreme slots in sealing contact surfaces.

EFFECT: invention improves the flange connection reliability.
