FIELD: seals.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sealing equipment and can be used for sealing protective covers of containers for transportation and / or long-term storage of radioactive materials, as well as for sealing flanged joints of pipelines, valves, vessels operating under pressure. Seal comprises metal ring arranged between graphite layers, wherein sections of metal ring for graphite application have toothed profile, and graphite is applied by rings on both sides of metal ring so that layers of graphite and metal ring form an indissoluble whole. In sealing on both sides between graphite rings there are lowerings, in the centre of which there are holes.

EFFECT: invention simplifies installation provided high level of tightness of inner and outer covers of device.
