FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: method for testing ballistic small-calibre artillery barrels includes an operation of preaging of a throat of a chamber by means of generation of an angular clearance at the joint of its slope with spiral leading cuts of the barrel itself; the angular clearance is formed by mechanical treatment by means of a roller cutter at the length of 3-7 mm for the depth of the half of height of spiral cuts, at the end of which a face is cut.
EFFECT: objectivity of tests of new ballistic barrels during their certification for suitability for tests as intended.
