SUBSTANCE: method involves step-by-step measurement of a signal in a given frequency range with uniform spacing to where: kmin=0.72; kmax=0.81; D is the antenna diameter; c is the speed of light; the number of separate frequencies in the range from fmin to fmax is not less than five; the method being characterised by that it involves further automatic equalisation of the amplitude-frequency characteristic by changing the transmitter power; equalisation of the amplitude-frequency characteristic can also be carried out by changing receiver gain.
