FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: device of wakening lighting comprises a gas discharge lamp (10) and a circuit (1; 2) of lamp control, comprising a source of power supply (100) made as capable of generating spaced packets (51) of pulses of lamp AC (I). The device of wakening lighting is made as capable of operating in a disconnected mode, in which lamp current is not generated, and is made as capable of switching from its disconnected mode into the wakening mode, in which the power supply source (100) operates, in order to: - first generate AC (I) of the lamp at minimum value (ΔT) of the working cycle and reduced amplitude (IR) of current close to zero; - then gradually increase current amplitude, with preservation of the working cycle (Δ) as permanent at minimum value (ΔT) of the working cycle, until the current amplitude reaches the rated current amplitude (IM); - then gradually increase the working cycle (Δ) with preservation of current amplitude as permanent at rated current amplitude (IM).

EFFECT: higher stability of lamp operation in modes from extremely low levels of light to rated light efficiency.
