SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to traumatology and can be used in treatment of old ruptures of calcaneal tendon. Excision of modified ends of calcaneal tendon is carried out. Diastasis between ends of calcaneal tendon is completely eliminated during its suturing. Tendon of long plantar muscle is exposed from separate access and transected. After passing tendon of long plantar muscle through transverse channels made on the ends of Achilles tendon free end of tendon of long plantar muscle is moved on medial surface of the distal end of calcaneal tendon and oblique-transverse channel in direction from medial to posterior surface of Achilles tendon is formed more distally than earlier formed transverse channel. Free end of tendon of long plantar muscle is moved from medial on posterior surface of the distal end of calcaneal tendon. After that, tendon of long plantar muscle is transferred on the proximal end of calcaneal tendon on its posterior surface. After that, tendon of plantar muscle is brought on anterior surface of calcaneal tendon through earlier formed transverse channel in the proximal end of calcaneal tendon and its end is moved more proximally than earlier formed channel in transverse direction on the distal end of calcaneal tendon on its anterior surface. Tendon of plantar muscle is fixed with sutures to calcaneal tendon.

EFFECT: method ensures reconstruction of calcaneal tendon and recovery of lower extremity function with reduction of terms of patient's rehabilitation, reduction of risk of re-rupture of calcaneal tendon.
