FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to forming hollow microspheres in the presence of fluid in production of porous structural ceramics. Hollow microspheres are mixed with fluid in the form of aqueous solution of sulfides in chamber for separation of microspheres and separation of integral microspheres from broken microspheres and/or those of different density. Forming is performed in two steps in female die including cylindrical part and conical part shaped to cone with through hole at its vertex. At first step, liquid level is decreased by lowering bottom male die. Thereafter, female die is lowered at decreased liquid level. Top and bottom male dies are lifted at a time to compact microspheres by female die conical part. Microspheres and chloride solution are transferred into female die cylindrical part by lifting top male die to effect compaction by bottom male die. Broken microspheres are removed via discharge chamber.
EFFECT: separation of hollow microspheres without breaking them, higher quality of annealed articles.
