SUBSTANCE: proposed furnace comprises nonconsumable electrode with axial through bore for arcing at its end. Note here that said nonconsumable electrode is furnished with tip of carbide-forming material with axial bore located under cone end. Note here that said nonconsumable electrode, cone and casting mould are aligned while refractory layer is applied on casting mould top section inner surface.
EFFECT: higher quality of metal billets.
