GUIDING DEVICE FOR INTRODUCTION OF SHANK TO SIDE SHAFT Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC E21B23/03 

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: device includes a guiding part with a bevel cut, a side hole with a nozzle for passage of fluid from the cur side, a retractable radial stock located in a cylindrical part from the side hole. Cylindrical part is composite and consists of upper and lower units connected to each other above the retractable sock by means of a hinge connection to a channel with the flow cross-section that is larger than that of the nozzle of the side hole. In cylindrical part above the hinge connection allowing restricted deviation of the lower unit relative to the upper one to the opposite side of the stock there are radial holes tightly covered from inside with a seat of a free-fall ball. Between the hinged connection and the seat there installed is a plug with side longitudinal flow passage; at that, the seat is fixed relative to upper unit in transport position with a shear element and has the possibility of being moved downwards till interaction with the plug tightly covering the flow passage of the seat.

EFFECT: improving reliability of the guiding device for introduction of the shank to the side shaft.
