FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: turbogenerator set (consisting of an electric generator with a wind turbine) is mounted on the rear car and connected by an air-duct through a filter to the hose of the car braking system. A red lamp is mounted in the area of the car buffer so that it can also be seen from the side of the train, and the emitter of the lamp is connected by a wire 6 to the output of the turbogenerator set. Compressed air is fed into the braking system, a portion of the compressed air being bled through the brake hose into the turbine of the generator set. The electric generator of the latter generates voltage which generates red (K) signalling light, which simultaneously acts on the ring phosphor. The beginning of radiation indicates the arrival of the release wave while its disappearance indicates the arrival of the braking wave at the rear car. The brightness of the lamp is directly proportional to air pressure in the brake line and the value of pressure in the brake line is determined from the brightness level.

EFFECT: high reliability of generating signalling light and travelling safety, broader functional capabilities and field of use.
