FIELD: study of electromagnetic waves. SUBSTANCE: method in compliance with invention has several stages to achieve spatial resolution of data of image in depth. Electromagnetic wave is directed on to surface of element of photon shift containing one pixel as minimum. Pixel incorporates at least two light-sensitive modulation light valves Gam and Gbm and coupled reservoir valves Ga and Gb. Voltages Uam(t) and Ubm(t) of modulation of light valves which have configuration in the form of Uam(t) = U0+Um(t) and Ubm(t) = U0,- Um(t) are applied to modulation light valves Uam and Ubam. Forward voltage whose value is at least equal to value of total voltage U0 and amplitude of modulation voltage Um(t) is applied to reservoir valves Ga and Gb. Charge carriers obtained in region of spatial charge of modulation light valves Gam and Gbm are subjected to effect of gradient of potential field of drift and drift in corresponding reservoir valve Ga or Gb with the aid of incident electromagnetic wave in the form of function of polarity of voltages Uam(t) and Ubm(t). Then charges qa and qb which drifted to reservoir valve Ga and Gb correspondingly are removed. Proper element of photon mixing has at least one pixel containing light-sensitive modulation light valves (Gam, Gbm) and reservoir valves (Ga, Gb). They are coupled to modulation light valves and are divided into parts relative to incident electromagnetic wave. Assemblage of elements of photon shift can be grouped to form block.
