SUBSTANCE: apparatus for measuring count rate has a measuring unit (1), having a division chamber (CH); a neutron generator (6) which emits neutrons in form of periodic pulses towards the division chamber; a neutron counter (K) for detecting and counting neutrons emitted by the neutron generator (6); a computation circuit (34), wherein the signal generated by the division chamber and the count signal are processed in a predetermined time window during the neutron emission period to output a signal which is a signal generated by the division chamber and a signal which is a count signal, and based on the signal which is a signal generated by the division chamber and the signal which is a count signal, the count rate of the division chamber, which is standardised based on the count signal, is calculated.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining effective mass of a fissile isotope.
