FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: powerful wideband klystron comprises a cathode, a focusing electrode, an anode, a collector, energy input and output, active resonators made in the form of a sequence of oval cylinders, made in a single rectangular unit of a resonant system, having channels for passage of a cooling liquid, the longitudinal axis of cylinders is arranged perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the device, drift pipes fixed in the middle of the wide part of active resonators so that the space between them represents HF gaps, besides, active resonators together with passive rectangular resonators in the input and output circuit form band filter systems. According to the invention, at least into active resonators of the input and output resonance system there are additional resonant plates introduced in the centre of the narrow part of each oval cylinder, and the plates are closed to the ends at the body of resonators and have holes for electron drift, which are coaxial to holes in drift pipes, besides, each plate has at two opposite end sides symmetrical slots relative to the centre of drift holes so that the space between drift pipes fixed in the middle of the wide part of these cylinders, so that the space between drift pipes is divided into two symmetrical HF slots.
EFFECT: increased band of amplified frequencies and output capacity.
