FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas cleaning and may be used in various industries for separating aerosol particles, including submicron particles, from flows. Proposed method consists in generation of corona discharge in gas flow between porous precipitation electrode and discharge electrodes arranged on the side of gas flow to be cleaned with clearance between precipitation electrode and the latter. Note here generation of corona discharge follows after creating drop-wise dispersion in gas flow being cleaned.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation.
