FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas cleaning and can be used in everyday life, in different industries and energy sector for separation of aerosol particles from gas flow contained therein. Invention can also be used for cleaning air from road dust, including aerosol contamination of internal combustion engine from exhaust gases, wearing process of tires and car brake pads and road surface. Invention is aimed at increase in efficiency of gas flow cleaning. Method consists in passage of gas flow being cleaned through the porous material with open pores, in pores of which a non-uniform electric field of not less than 0.1 kV/cm is formed during purification. Technical result in the disclosed method of gas flow cleaning is achieved by motion trajectory deviation of aerosol particles by electric field of current lines of gas flow while moving gas flow over the porous partition wall pores. aerosol particles deviating from the gas flow current lines are engaged for pore walls of the porous partition wall and are separated from gas flow. In the pores, thus, particles are retained, the size of which is considerably less than the size of pores, that ensures to increase cleaning efficiency from aerosol particles. Disclosed method enables to use common fibrous filtration materials, made for coarse filters, for fine purification of gas flows.
EFFECT: almost complete purification of gas flow from aerosol particles of the whole range of sizes, including a nanometre range, is provided.
