FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas purification and can be used in various industries and power engineering and transport for cleaning flue gases from aerosol particles contained therein. Method provides for removal of aerosol particles from gases coming out of chimney. By mixing the stream of the cleaned gas stream with surrounding atmospheric air, condensate drops are formed first, which are formed on aerosol particles, from which the gas stream is cleaned. Further, the condensate drops formed are separated from the gas stream by known methods of drop separation by passing the formed gas-drop mixture through the drop catcher structures. In the process of cleaning, the temperature of the condensate drops formed, the temperature and direction of movement of ambient air are controlled, and the volumes of atmospheric air supplied for mixing with the stream of the cleaned gas are controlled to values at which the temperature of the condensate drop has a minimum possible positive value. Reduced probability of condensed liquid drops freezing and serviceability of filter is maintained in conditions of negative values of ambient air temperature.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improvement of cleaning efficiency.
