FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device contains an electromagnetic current rate sensor, an input signal normaliser, an analogue-to-digital converter (ADC), a microprocessor; the electromagnetic current rate sensor positioned at one end of a pole made of a non-conductive material, the pole length sufficient for free access to any of the rods supplying current to the anode pins or collector bars, a tail guard installed at the sensor mounting spot, the guard ensuring identity of the electromagnetic current rate sensor position relative to the rod during measurement of current flowing through the rod; the input signal normaliser, the ADC and the microprocessor are connected in series and positioned at the opposite end of the pole; the output of the electromagnetic current rate sensor is connected to the input of the input signal normaliser by way of a twisted pair.

EFFECT: ensured is the electrolysis process technological mode stabilisation, reduction of energy losses in the anode assembly due to timely elimination of misalignment of electric current distribution across the anode pins.
