FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: centrifugal compressor includes a housing and a shaft. The latter is installed so that it can be rotated in the housing. At least one impeller is located on the shaft in the housing. An insert is located on the medium flow way in the housing of the first stage of the compressor impeller of certain length in radial direction and axial direction of the compressor. At that, the insert determines a medium inlet pass located above the medium path of the first impeller and leading in the direction to it. The insert is made from material with certain structure, and the medium inlet pass is made in the form of an additional spatial interruption of bonding of material structure substance. Besides, centrifugal compressor manufacturing method is described.
EFFECT: creation of a centrifugal compressor that has improved operational and technical properties in comparison to common centrifugal compressors and that can be made at lower cost risks.
