FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: stomach is voided at first, and a marker presented by acetaminophen is introduced into the stomach. Then 15-40 minutes later the blood plasma concentration thereof is determined to appraise a possibility of the enteral nutrition in abdominal sepsis. If the acetaminophen concentrations are less than 4 mcg/ml, the nasogastral nutrition in the patients is considered to be impossible, while the marker to be more than 6 mcg/ml enables the nasogastral nutrition in the patients.
EFFECT: use of the declared method enables the higher effectiveness and painlessness of the appraisal of possibility of the enteral nutrition in abdominal sepsis.
