FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave engineering, wherein travelling-wave tubes, which are based on the principle of continuous prolonged interaction of an electron stream with the field of a travelling electromagnetic wave in a non-resonance oscillatory system, can be used in various electronic equipment. To this end, a wideband delay-line structure consisting of a series of connected resonators with inductive coupling slits is matched with waveguides by performing four consecutive operations. The first operation enables to find dimensions of the coupling slits of arched waveguides connected to butt ends of the input and output resonators and diameters of the input and output resonators, as well as dimensions of the coupling slits between several resonators from the beginning to the end of the delay-line structure and its diameters. The next three operations enable to determine dimensions of coupling slits with waveguides connected to the cylindrical wall of the input and output resonators of the delay-line structure as is done in practical designs of travelling-wave tubes.
EFFECT: good matching of a delay-line structure of the type of a series of connected resonators with inductive coupling slits with waveguides on the entire bandwidth of the delay-line structure.
