FIELD: electric engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to super-high frequency (SHF) engineering. Traveling-wave tubes employing the principle of continuous long-term interaction of electron stream with traveling electromagnetic wave field in non-resonance oscillatory system may be used in different electronic equipment. Traveling-wave tube is comprised of electron injector, slow-down system consisting of linked resonators with dielectric sealing partitions separating slow-down system from SHF channels, focusing system in the form of electric or permanent magnates and collector. Input and output resonator of slow-down system are shielded from electron beam by means of through pipe and converted into short-circuited cutoffs waveguide. Cutoffs are interfaced with SHF channels by introduction of two (or more) spaced inductive diaphragms between those cutoffs and sealing dielectric partitions. Number of diaphragms, their location and openings sizes depend on interfacing band (bandwidth) of slow-down system and are selected experimentally or by calculation.
EFFECT: increase of slow-down interface with transmitting lines along bandwidth of slow-down system.
