FIELD: physics; radio.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave equipment. Traveling-wave tubes (TWT), based on the principle of continuous prolonged interaction of an electron stream with the field of a traveling electromagnetic wave in a non-resonance oscillatory system, can be used in different radio-electronic apparatus. TWT of the decimeter wavelength range has an electron gun, a delay-line structure in form of an H-resonator consisting of connected cells, dielectric sealing partitions which separate the delay-line structure from microwave channels, a focusing system in form of a chain of permanent magnets and a collector. Each cell of the delay-line structure (period) is divided into several periods of the magnetic focusing system on permanent magnets and is a set of components made from magnetic material, joined to each other into a single microwave structure using components made from conducting non-magnetic material with low microwave losses.
EFFECT: lower mass and size characteristics of a powerful TWT of the decimetre wavelength range.
