FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fluid separators particularly to those intended for cleaning of fluid from admixtures of heavier fluids and solids. Proposed separator is intended, mainly, for cleaning aircraft fuel from water and suspended heavy particles at preparation for aircraft fueling. Separator comprises casing with inlets, outlet flange and discharge pipe. Rotor is arranged inside said casing to turn therein and composed of inner and outer tubes rigidly and coaxially coupled to make a through channel. Outer tune has holes while sealed gap for discharge of impurities is formed between outer tube and casing. Rotor is, preferably, furnished with impeller arranged coaxially with inner and outer tubes. Said impeller should be preferably rigidly secured to inner tube while outer tube should be attached to impeller locating surface arranged along its vanes. On opposite side, tube should be connected by grommets. Rotor runs in bearings fitted in the casing. Note here that casing one end is furnished with detachable cover. Inlets may be arranged at one side of the casing while outlet flange may be located at opposite end.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation, decreased overall dimensions.
