FIELD: equipment for centrifugal separating of liquid mixture into two phases.
SUBSTANCE: method involves providing cleaning in centrifugal separator of certain prior art adapted for separation of liquid mixture containing solid particles into one low-viscosity phase and one concentrated phase with solid particles having higher viscosity and higher density than liquid phase; feeding washing liquid into inlet chamber for liquid mixture from inlet opening of rotor into separating chamber or into concentrated phase discharge chamber or discharge channel so as to define washing liquid zone, with flowing of washing liquid from said zone to concentrated phase discharge chamber being provided through bypassing of vortex unit disposed within rotor; removing washing liquid from discharge chamber and discharging it from rotor through non-rotating discharge member. Apparatus has transfer member comprising at least one washing liquid discharge channel adapted for communicating concentrated phase discharge chamber with separating chamber of rotor so that washing liquid level is closer to axis of rotation than level of basic liquid mixture to be separated. Washing liquid discharge channel is disposed in transfer member so as to provide flowing of washing liquid into concentrated phase discharge chamber. Transfer member is connected with rotor base or is made integral with rotor and rotates in conjunction therewith.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in cleaning of centrifugal separator rotor and pipelines from depositions.
