FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of feeding catalyst in olefin polymerization reactor. Proposed method comprises the following stages: a) proportioning catalyst powder by proportioner of rotary valve including stator, rotor and seal arranged between said stator and rotor; b) carrying proportioned amount of catalyst powder from said rotary valve into polymerisation reactor. Proposed method comprises additionally the following stages: c) feeding flushing compound in one or several iner channels in the rotor of said rotary valve. Note here that said one or several inner channels are directed in rotor axes to extend along rotor length and are communicated with annular chambers arranged nearby said seal. Note also that said annular chambers are communicated with discharge channel; d) catalyst powder is washed from said chamber. Invention relates also to device for feeding catalyst powder into polymerisation reactor. Device comprises vessel or bin to store catalyst powder, proportioning rotary valve including stator, rotor and seal arranged between said stator and rotor, and flushing device to feed flushing compound inside valve rotor. Device to carry proportioned amount of catalyst powder into aforesaid reactor. Note here that said one or several inner channels are directed in rotor axes to extend along rotor length and are communicated with annular chambers arranged nearby said seal. Note also that said annular chambers are communicated with discharge channel.
