FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: mixture containing matrix material and strengthening particles with the size of less than 50 nm is subject to mechanical alloying. Matrix metal is chosen of the group containing copper, nickel, gold, silver, and strengthening particles are chosen of the group containing nanodiamonds, silicon carbide, tungsten carbide, boron carbide, zirconium carbide, silicon oxide, aluminium oxide, zirconium oxide, titanium nitride, zirconium nitride and boron nitride. Obtained granules are compacted so that soluble anode is formed. A composite is formed on the cathode by electrochemical transfer of composite material from soluble anode to cathode in a galvanic bath containing electrolyte, and mechanical treatment is performed for separation of metal matrix composite from cathode. Volumetric fraction of strengthening particles in the mixture does not exceed 60% and exceeds by 1.05-4 times their number in the obtained metal matrix composite.
EFFECT: composite has high ductile characteristics and low electric resistance.
