FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: addition alloy is prepared in the form of compact rods from the uniformly agitated mixture of magnesium powder and aluminium nitride nanopowder with the particles diameter in the range of 30÷80 nm. The produced rods are introduced into the melt of the matrix based on magnesium to provide the aluminium nitride nanopowder content in the resulting nanocomposite material 1±0.2 wt % and are held at the matrix melt temperature of at least 35 minutes, while simultaneous exposing to the melt by ultrasound with the intensity of 20÷25 W/cm2 and the oscillation frequency 17÷19 kHz.
EFFECT: ultimate tensile strength increase more than in two times with simultaneous increase of the resulted material ductility.
