FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: elastic waves are excited in a coating and a metal of a pipe by means of dry point contact with the help of a radiating vibrator, the mode of elastic waves oscillations are received and registered with the help of a receiving vibrator, the connection of the coating with the pipe metal is estimated by change of mechanical impedance, differing by the fact that calibrating dependences are produced between availability of connection disturbances on samples that imitate tight adjacency of a non-adhered coating to a pipe metal and various temperatures of sample heating, connection disturbances in pipes are detected with a coating in the optimal temperature range of measurements specified for the samples, which is produced by heating of the control site from the inner surface of the pipe.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of detection of hidden disturbances of a coating in case of tight adjacency of an unadhered coating to a pipe metal.
