FIELD: radio engineering, communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents a radar system for a radar with synthesised aperture (SAR), comprising a scheme for arrangement of at least one transmitter, two receivers, two antennas and a facility of signal processing arranged on the platform. The platform is made as capable of moving above earth and is made as capable of sending the available form of the signal and receiving signals reflected from earth. Received signals are used to generate a SAR image of earth. The SAR image contains several resolution elements. The radar system is additionally made as capable of operation in the frequency band with the central frequency fc and with the broad pass band B, making at least one octave, besides, the radar system comprises the first and second antenna, having length making less than a half of the length of the wave of the central frequency fc. The radar system additionally provides for the following: a transfer function Ff of the radar system, flat by the frequency band B, and generation of a single-sided directivity pattern with a broadband coefficient of antenna amplification. The invention also provides for the appropriate method.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of generation of a surrounding earth surface image.
