SUBSTANCE: device for use in a battery of fuel elements comprises a porous metal base with a sealing layer, made by means of local fusion and having depth of the sealing layer, which stretches from the upper surface of the porous metal base to at least the lower surface of the porous metal base. At the same time the sealing layer is arranged along periphery of the porous metal base, besides, the sealing layer is impermeable for gas carried in the plane of the porous metal base.
EFFECT: elimination of gas leakage into environment and increased thermal resistance.
