FIELD: fuel industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) on a metal substrate, fuel cell batteries, a method for production thereof. In SOFC according to invention diluted electrolyte and barrier layers are used to prevent occurrence of specific types of corrosion of metal substrate. Solid oxide fuel cell on metal substrate contains metal substrate; electrolyte layer adjacent to metal substrate; and, at least, one gasket, through which fluids are delivered to solid oxide fuel cell on metal substrate and from it; wherein the electrolyte layer provides a non-porous protective coating, preventing corrosion of the metal substrate; and wherein at least a portion of the electrolyte layer is located between the substrate and the spacer and/or on the metal substrate in areas adjacent to the pad.
EFFECT: reduced rate of degradation of fuel elements and high reliability of system during long-term operation.
