PERSPECTIVE CARDIOSYNCHRONISATION IN COMPUTERED TOMOGRAPHY Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B6/03 A61B5/456

Abstract RU 2485892 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Device includes predictor of cardiac cycle characteristic, which predicts time position of patient's cardiac cycle characteristic, controller of scanning, which uses measured time position of patient's cardiac cycle characteristic and predicted time position. Device also contains error identifier, which identifies error between phase, in which said projections are obtained, an rest phase. In method realisation time position of target phase of cardiac cycle in patient's first cardiac cycle is predicted. Scanner for computed tomography is induced to obtain data of projection with synchronisation in predicted time position of target phase of cardiac cycle. After that, error between phase, in which data of projection with synchronisation are obtained, and factual time position of target phase is determined. Depending on determined error, stages of prediction and induction of second cardiac cycle are repeated.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase reliability of algorithms of cardiac cycle registration, reproducibility of heart movements between successive contractions and predictability of patient's cardiac cycle.
