METHOD OF PREDICTING GESTOSIS Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B8/00

Abstract RU 2485894 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to obstetrics. In order to predict gestosis function of endothelium at early terms of pregnancy is determined. In the first half of pregnancy assessment of functional activity of endothelium is performed twice at 5-7 week and 16-19 week terms by the results of cuff compression test on mother's brachial artery, and index of flow-dependent dilatation (FDD) of brachial artery is calculated after first and second test. After second test at 17-19 week term change of endothelium function (CEF) is determined. If CEF decreases or grows by less than 4% with respect to initial values of first test, development of gestosis is predicted. If CEF parameter increases by 4% and more in comparison with initial values, uncomplicated pregnancy without clinical manifestations of gestosis is predicted.

EFFECT: method increases objectivity and prognostic value of gestosis prediction in the first half of pregnancy.
