FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics and gynecology. Method for prediction of development of preeclampsia in pregnant women with reactivation of latent cytomegalovirus infection in the second trimester of pregnancy consists in the fact that blood serum is analyzed for endothelin-1 (ET-1) in pmol/l and VEGFA concentration in ng/ml. Risk of developing preeclampsia is then predicted using a prognostic index PI: PI = -70.775+(9.05×ET-1) – (3.775×VEGFA), where PI – predictive index of discriminant function, boundary value of which is -6.286. If PI is equal to or greater than the limit value, the risk of developing preeclampsia is predicted, if PI is less than the limit value, no risk of developing preeclampsia is predicted with reactivation of latent cytomegalovirus infection in the second trimester of pregnancy.
EFFECT: invention enables predicting the development of preeclampsia in reactivation of latent cytomegalovirus infection in the second trimester of pregnancy.
