FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: drive assembly on fluid medium includes a cylinder with an inlet opening, a piston located in the cylinder, an annular groove on the piston or the cylinder, piston rings and a spring. Piston rings are located in the annular groove with a gap. The spring is inserted into the annular groove on high-pressure surface of piston rings with formation of gaps between the first surface of spring and high-pressure surface of piston rings and between the second surface of spring and high-pressure surface of annular groove. Spring loads piston rings for sealing between low-pressure surface of piston rings and low-pressure surface of annular groove. When the adjustable seal is being moved in axial direction, the main axial contact is open between the adjustable seal and primary sealing surface. As per one of the versions, contact is created between adjustable seal and secondary sealing surface. Radial pressure force acting on the adjustable seal is reduced, and the value of force required for radial movement of the adjustable seal is decreased. After that, adjustable seal is moved in radial direction.
EFFECT: inventions allow simplifying the design of the drive seal assembly and enlarging its service life.
