FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: cassette shot hitting element comprises case with cylindrical and bottom parts, explosive, fuse and case fragmentation localisers. Proposed method consists in making localisers of crushing case into splinters in the form of annular grooves made on cylindrical part outer surface and bottom part outer surface. Case is composed by two shells, solid inner shell and composite outer shell consisting of several isolated parts. Parts of outer shell are formed by separate isolated rings. Rings are fitted on inner shell to allow their side surfaces heat in contact there between. Annular grooves between outer shell parts are made by fitting extreme rings of outer shell parts so that they are spaced apart.

EFFECT: higher fragmentation efficiency.
