FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: cassette shot hitting element comprises case with cylindrical and bottom parts, explosive, fuse and case fragmentation localizers. Case is composed by two shells, solid inner shell and composite outer shell consisting of several isolated parts. The latter are arranged at inner shell to make spacing between their side surfaces approximately equal to or smaller than inner shell thickness at the their location. Outer shell rings are composed of rings of several cylindrical spirals fitted coaxially one in the other to allow interaction there between.
EFFECT: higher fragmentation efficiency.
