FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: acousto-optical system consists of a coherent radiation source (1), a nonaxial acousto-optical deflector (2) with an optical-acoustic line (3) made from a crystal of piezoelectric material in form of a prism on which an acoustic radiating piezoelectric element (4) is mounted and an optical scanning system (5). The electrical part has a power supply and a software-hardware control module (6) which consists of a control unit (7) with a computing device (8), a high-frequency signal generator (9) and interfacing units (10) and (11). The flat face of the output surface of the optical-acoustic line is at an angle of 40°-70° to the axis of the optical beam. At the input of the acousto-optical deflector, there is a first optical system (12) for expanding the increase in diameter of the light beam, and at the output of the scanning system there is a second optical system (13) for expanding the range of scanning angles. The software-hardware control module (6) is configured to generate a high-frequency signal consisting of a certain number of components with determined amplitude values, frequencies and relative phases.

EFFECT: wider range of scanning angles.
